A Florida congresswoman who leads a committee on climate change will tour Naval Station Norfolk, the Port of Virginiaand other parts of Norfolk and Chesapeake affected by flooding on Monday.

U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., is the chair of the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. The committee is charged with making climate policy recommendations to Congress that “achieve substantial and permanent reductions in pollution and other activities that contribute to the climate crisis,” according to a news release.
